Steelmaking, a key industrial sector in Europe, is changing at a fast pace. Both domestic and global competition is fierce, and new skills are in demand. The EU intends to stay ahead of the technological curve by investing in new processes and technologies and making the sector more attractive for the contemporary European workforce.
There are several misperceptions about the steel industry that deter job seekers from discovering the broad variety of opportunities the sector offers. This has led to shortages and mismatches between skills supply and demand.
The challenge
Portraying the steel sector as an attractive career path for high-skilled workers, and as a sector with a growing need for talent and skills/expertise not previously associated with this field.
The solution
SCOPE developed an effective and targeted communication strategy and unique brand identity for the 'Steel sector careers: More opportunities than you can imagine' campaign, presenting the steel sector as an attractive career path for talented jobseekers.
We took the lead in all the awareness-raising and promotional activities, including the production of infographics, banners, roll-ups, brochures, factsheets and newsletters, as well a promotional video and the project’s landing page.
