Fighting terrorism starts with addressing the polarisation of society, discrimination and other factors that can reinforce people's vulnerability to radical discourse. Anti-radicalisation actions that focus on early detection, resilience building and disengagement, as well as rehabilitation and reintegration in society, are all key.
The Radicalisation Awareness Network (RAN) connects frontline practitioners from across Europe with one another, and with academics and policymakers, to exchange knowledge, first-hand experiences and approaches to preventing and countering radicalisation and violent extremism in all its forms.
The challenge
Connecting practitioners and relevant actors across Member States to ensure they all have access to the latest data, trends and practices to effectively tackle radicalisation-related challenges in their local and national communities.
The solution
